Euler Hermes

Euler Hermes is the world's premier credit insurer, offering solutions for the management of trade receivables, from credit insurance and financing of trade receivables to bonding and guarantees. Euler Hermes is a member of the Allianz Group.

In april 2002 the group management in Paris decided to roll out Pluriform to all its smaller international subsidiaries. Building on the Pluriform system of Euler Hermes Nederland (NL) in august 2002 the necassary adaptations started. Four moths later the system went live in Spain. Now Euler Hermes is using Pluriform in 28 countries.

Growing with changes
Since 1992 Euler Hermes NL has been handling its businessprocess with Pluriform. All these years the system has grown with all necessary changes. New types of policies, support for a joint-venture with Interpolis, integration with Group systems (IRP, Oracle, SAP); all consequences for the information needs have each time been built in Pluriform. In a very short time and at low costs. At the end of 2001, for instance, the system has been adapted in 40 man days, to the Euro and communication has been added with Oracle Financials of the Euler Hermes group in Paris.

Managable and at low costs
This achievement of upgrading the integrated informationsystem of Euler Hermes NL in a controlled manner in a short time, at low costs, did not go unnoticed within Euler Hermes. The group was looking for a new information system to be shared by all its “small business units” (in more than twenty countries).
After a comparison with two other systems used within Euler Hermes, Paris decided in favor of Pluriform because:

  • it offered much more functionality than the systems the small business units were using.
  • it could flexibly be adapted to each different local situation.
  • it already contained interfaces with the common systems in Paris.
  • it offers excellent management features, with a minimal number of people needed.
  • the necessary infrastructure (Windows) was simple, standard and cheap.

Develop centrally, implement internationally
Starting with the Dutch systeem, we began in august 2002 with the necessary extensions. In december 2002 Genesys was implemented in Spain and Mexico. Later on followed by Greece, Morocco, Hungary, Brasil, Singapore and Hong Kong, Belgium and the World Agency a special business unit servicing multinationals.
The business logic of all these systems is managed in one developsystem. As a consequence all necessary adaptations can be rolled out automatically, in a controlled manner, with reproducible quality in all using countries.
